Curriculum followed is the general national Swedish curriculum for primary schools. The first year is preparatory for school.
Uttersbergsskolan offers full time schedule/recreation centre. The school is open from 6.15 in the morning to 18.00 in the evening. The parents pay a small fee for this activity but the school is free of taxes in Sweden.
Our school was built in 1976 and is recently renovated. It is the only primary school for a rather widespread area suburban village with mostly villas. The number of inhabitants is about 5000. The nearest town is Norrköping, with 130 000 inhabitants, 20 kms away. Kolmården is a middle class area. The majority of the families have Swedish origin. Both parents normally go to work daily. There is a small number of pupils that has another native language. They are offered some teaching in their mother tounge weekly.
The environment here are woodland. The special profile of our school is nature, both studying and staying in nature.
