Erasmus + @museart Activity A10 –
Top ten arts and cultural attractions
The purpose of every activity in our project is, first of all, to share it with the other partners and to make students more confident with the use of languages, that is not their own language. They use, indeed, English to make students of every country understand, so sharing is clearer for everyone.
This activity is the result of an interdisciplinary work among different subjects, such as English, French, Art, Technology and Geography. We involved students of seventh and eighth grade. At the beginning we asked them to choose among the monuments and events in Moncalieri, they considered the most typical and, after that, students of the 8th grade decided how to plan this activity. One of the main goals was to involve the majority of subjects they normally study at school. So, following their suggestions, we divided students into two groups: the first one worked enhancing the written skill of French and the oral skill of English; the second one, on the contrary, did the same, but switching the two languages. At the end of this hard work, we all decided to mix and to organise our power point presentation using the videos in English and writing the text in French. We also added hyperlinks with Italian insights.
Finally, our students reached a better awareness of the territory where they live, enhancing written and oral skills in English and French languages, but also improving Art and Technology’s skills.
