When grade 1 works with science subjects they have been talking about autumn for a few weeks.
They talked about what happens in nature in the autumn and looks at different trees and how their leaves look and also how they change color during this season.
The class was divided into four groups with 5 pupils in every group.
They are commissioned to create different animals of leaves.
Each group gets to know which animal they are going to build from leaves and may also see some different examples of how it can look.
The pupils are very creative and look for leaves together. De designate some who collect leaves ansd some who begin to create the motiv on the ground.
Then they ended the lesson by looking at each other´s pictures.
In the winter worked same class with snow experiments. One of the tasks for the pupils was to create snow art. They were working in pairs, and first they had to to find a flat surface where they can make their painting. It is important to pack the snow so hard that you get a hard surface to work on.
They then use watercolor and brush to create their own painting.
They conclude by looking at each other´s artwork.
